Alignerr is seeking a Masters- or PhD-level Data Scientist to act as an AI Data Trainer on a remote, hourly contract. You will design advanced data science challenges, authored ground-truth solutions, and audit AI-generated code to guide model improvement.

The role emphasizes independent work with flexible hours (10–40 hours/week) and collaboration with AI research teams. Proficiency in Python, R, SQL and ML libraries is essential, along with clear written communication.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Masters or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline with heavy emphasis on data analysis.
• Deep grounding in core data science fundamentals: supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, statistical inference, model evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Design Advanced Challenges: create rigorous, domain-specific data science problems spanning hyperparameter optimization, Bayesian inference, cross-validation strategies, dimensionality reduction, and more.
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions: develop precise, step-by-step technical solutions with Python/R scripts, SQL queries, and mathematical derivations.
• Audit AI-Generated Code: evaluate model outputs using libraries like Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow for accuracy, efficiency, and soundness.
• Identify Reasoning Failures: pinpoint and document logical flaws in AI reasoning and provide structured feedback to improve model behavior.
• Work Independently: complete task-based assignments asynchronously, on your own schedule.
