NZTA | Waka Kotahi is seeking a senior leader to oversee Regulatory Planning, Performance & Improvement within the Commercial Transport sub-system. You will translate strategy into integrated plans, monitor system performance and provide evidence-based insights to prioritise actions and allocate resources.

You will lead a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement, and influence senior stakeholders across government, industry and frontline delivery while promoting good regulatory

• Experience leading regulatory teams in frontline regulation.
• Ability to translate regulatory strategy into actionable plans.
• Strong analytical skills and evidence-based decision making.

• Leading end-to-end oversight of Regulatory Planning, Performance & Improvement within Commercial Transport.
• Translating strategic direction into integrated operational plans and priorities.
• Establishing and overseeing performance, reporting, assurance and quality frameworks.
• Using data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Providing authoritative advice to senior leaders on regulatory interventions and trade-offs.
• Driving continuous improvement and embedding learning across frameworks, tools and ways of working.
• Building strong stakeholder relationships across regulatory, government, industry and operations.
