Job summary

NZTA | Waka Kotahi seeks a Manager Regulatory Planning, Performance & Improvement to oversee the Commercial Transport regulatory sub-system. You will translate strategy into integrated plans, monitor performance and provide evidence-based insights for prioritisation and decision-making.

You will lead a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen regulatory delivery across a complex operating environment.

Qualifications

• Strong regulatory background with frontline regulation experience.
• Experience in translating strategy into operational plans and priorities.
• Ability to translate data, risk information and insights into decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end oversight of Commercial Transport regulatory performance and outcomes.
• Translate regulatory intent into integrated plans and priorities.
• Establish frameworks for performance, reporting, assurance and quality.
• Provide authoritative advice to senior leaders on interventions and trade-offs.
• Drive continuous improvement and embed learning into delivery.
