Job summary

Geeks on Wheels in Auckland is seeking an Auckland-based Geek Development Team Leader to drive the performance of Northern Region Technicians. You will lead, coach and mentor to improve attitude, performance and culture, while aligning with company policies and growth targets.

Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, you will also recruit, induct new members and contribute to regional expansion efforts. Expect some travel within the region and to head office.

Qualifications

• Experience leading regional teams in field service.
• Strong coaching and feedback skills.
• Willingness to travel within the region and to Wellington HQ as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support our Northern Region team of L1-L2 Technicians to optimise performance, attitude and culture via regular in field observation, coaching, feedback, learning plans and team engagement.
• Manage individual and team performance expectations and ensure your team adheres to Geeks on Wheels policies, standards and processes.
• Manage team meetings, customer issues, and other inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Be actively involved with Recruitment and lead the Induction of new team members through mentoring and support to build capability and confidence.
• Actively assist with and contribute to growth activities to strengthen and develop the region.
• Work collaboratively with the management team to achieve business objectives and improve performance.
• Support and drive the development of a healthy and quality internal culture that retains key employees, encourages their professional development and makes Geeks on Wheels a bloody awesome place to work.
