Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Nelson is seeking Regional Administrators for fixed-term roles to support the FIT for Symptomatic pathway and regional colonoscopy services. You will manage referrals, patient information and tracking systems while maintaining regular patient contact to explain next steps in their healthcare journey.

The positions are 0.7 FTE (28 hours/week) and 0.6 FTE (24 hours/week), with a fixed term until June 2027, working Monday to Friday with occasional evenings or

• Experience in administration roles.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals, patient records and tracking systems accurately.
• Support coordination and management of regional waitlists for colonoscopy.
• Proactively contact patients to explain processes and support participation.
• Record and monitor patient progress and outcomes.
• Work closely with clinical and administrative teams across the region.
• Identify and address administrative barriers to accessing care.
• Contribute to equitable access and positive healthcare experiences for patients and whānau.
