Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Nelson is recruiting three Regional Administrators for the Nelson Hospital on fixed-term contracts until June 2027.

These part-time roles (0.7 and 0.6 FTE) support FIT for Symptomatic pathways, manage referrals, patient information and waitlists, and provide telephone assistance to patients as they navigate care.

Qualifications

• Previous administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals, patient records and tracking systems accurately and efficiently
• Support the coordination and management of regional colonoscopy waitlists
• Proactively contact patients to explain processes, answer questions and support participation
• Record and monitor patient progress and outcomes
• Work closely with clinical and administrative teams across the region
• Help identify and address administrative barriers that may prevent patients from accessing care
• Contribute to equitable access and positive healthcare experiences for patients and whānau.
