Job summary

Excel Refrigeration & Air Conditioning is seeking a Refrigeration Service Technician based in the Manawatū to deliver high-quality service across commercial and industrial customers.

You will service, maintain, repair and install refrigeration systems with on-call and overtime when required, and support apprentices as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial/industrial refrigeration systems.
• NZQA Level 4 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning qualification.
• EST Practising Licence and refrigerant handling ticket.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
• Planned preventative maintenance and reactive service work.
• Refrigeration repairs, upgrades and installations.
• Completing service documentation and work orders using modern technology.
• Building strong relationships with customers and providing professional service.

We're looking for an experienced technician to join our team and deliver high-quality refrigeration service and maintenance across a range of commercial and industrial customers.

The Role

Working as part of our Manawatū team, you'll be responsible for delivering reliable, high-quality refrigeration service and maintenance to our customers and keeping their refrigeration systems operating reliably.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• - Servicing and maintaining commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
• - Planned preventative maintenance and reactive service work
• - Refrigeration repairs, upgrades and installations
• - Completing service documentation and work orders using modern technology
• - Building strong relationships with customers and providing professional service
• - Maintaining high standards of health and safety
• - Supporting apprentices and other team members when required
• - Participating in on-call and overtime work as required

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is technically capable, customer-focused and takes pride in getting the job done properly.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• - Proven experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration
• - NZQA Level 4 qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• - Current Electrical Service Technician (EST) Practising Licence
• - Approved Refrigerant Handling (Filler's) Ticket
• - Full New Zealand driver licence
• - Excellent communication and client service skills
• - The ability to work confidently on your own while contributing to a wider team
• - A solutions-focused approach to your work
