Qualifications

• NZQA Level 4 qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• Current EST Practising Licence.
• Approved Refrigerant Handling ticket.
• Full New Zealand driver licence.
• Proven experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.

• Planned preventativ e maintenance and reactive service work.

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced technician to join our team and deliver high-quality refrigeration service and maintenance across a range of commercial and industrial customers.

The Role

Working as part of our Manawatū team, you’ll be responsible for delivering reliable, high-quality refrigeration service and maintenance to our customers and keeping their refrigeration systems operating reliably.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Servicing and maintaining commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
• Planned preventative maintenance and reactive service work
• Refrigeration repairs, upgrades and installations
• Completing service documentation and work orders using modern technology
• Building strong relationships with customers and providing professional service
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety
• Supporting apprentices and other team members when required
• Participating in on-call and overtime work as required

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who is technically capable, customer-focused and takes pride in getting the job done properly.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration
• NZQA Level 4 qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• Current Electrical Service Technician (EST) Practising Licence
• Approved Refrigerant Handling (Filler’s) Ticket
• Full New Zealand driver licence
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• The ability to work confidently on your own while contributing to a wider team
• A solutions-focused approach to your work
