Job summary

Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities is seeking a Commercial Manager Redevelopment to provide financial governance, analysis and project accounting oversight for major redevelopment projects in Auckland. The role partners with Construction Delivery teams to ensure strong financial controls and insightful reporting.

You will drive forecasting, budgeting and cost management while identifying opportunities to improve project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant qualification or similar with demonstrated financial management experience.
• 7+ years’ experience supporting large capital programs or redevelopments.
• Demonstrated ability to collect, organise and analyse complex data to inform decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial oversight of Redevelopment construction projects.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts to completion, commitments and cost-to-complete.
• Identify cost risks and provide early warnings to project teams.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and capitalisation policies.
• Support governance frameworks and financial reporting improvements.
• Lead month-end, quarterly and annual planning cycles for projects.
• Maintain integrity of project data within ERP/financial systems.
• Develop and mentor finance team members to high performance.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
