Job summary

Auckland Council's Auckland Urban Development Office (AUDO) invites an experienced Development Manager to lead major mixed-use developments from inception through delivery. You will identify opportunities, shape strategies, manage risks and drive development plans that align with community objectives and business goals.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of development management experience.
  • Experience procuring, negotiating contracts and coordinating development projects.
  • Strong financial, commercial and risk management capability.
  • Experience delivering complex property development or urban regeneration projects.
  • Knowledge of legislation, regulations and development controls affecting infrastructure and construction.

Responsibilities

  • Seek opportunities and implement strategies to support successful project delivery.
  • Lead project risk identification, management and mitigation activities.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, consultant fees and financial performance.
  • Lead negotiation and management of complex development agreements and commercial arrangements.
  • Build trusted relationships with development partners and stakeholders to drive outcomes.
  • Ensure developments respond to market demands, industry trends and best-practice standards.
  • Champion innovation, sustainability, technology and quality urban design outcomes.
