Nelson Bays Primary Health is hiring a part-time Receptionist/Administrator to support reception, administration and clinical support services. You will work 20-25 hours per week, providing a warm, professional presence for clients and staff in a welcoming, culturally safe environment.
Reporting to the Executive Support Officer, you will help manage phone lines, bookings and records, while contributing to a collaborative team focused on equity and quality care in the community.
We are seeking a warm, organised and professional Receptionist / Administrator to join our team and support the effective delivery of our reception, administrative and clinical support services. Reporting to the Executive Support Officer, this role plays an important part in creating a positive experience for clients, whānau, visitors and staff while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our office and contracted services. This is a part-time position with 20-25 hours per week.
Working closely with the wider team, you will provide reliable and efficient support across reception, office administration and clinical administration functions. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with people, values attention to detail and takes pride in creating welcoming, respectful and culturally safe experiences for everyone who engages with NBPH.
Providing professional reception services and being the first point of contact for clients, whānau and visitors.
Managing telephone enquiries, room bookings and office administration tasks.
Supporting clinical administration, including appointments, records management and reporting requirements.
Assisting with project, meeting and event administration.
Providing general administrative and financial support as required.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Experience in reception and administration, ideally within a health or community services environment.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication skills and a warm, professional and approachable manner.
A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with experience using patient management systems an advantage.
