Job summary

Madison Recruitment Limited is supporting a busy New Zealand government agency in Palmerston North to recruit customer service professionals for a high-volume inbound contact centre. The role starts 24 November 2026 and offers a long-term temp path with potential extensions, fully office-based on-site with a seven-day roster.

You will handle inbound calls, deliver accurate information, record interactions, and navigate multiple systems with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must have working rights in New Zealand.
• Experience in customer service, contact centre, hospitality, retail, or similar roles preferred.
• Able to work across a seven-day roster and achieve targets.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from members of the public.
• Provide accurate information and resolve customer enquiries.
• Record customer interactions and update internal systems.
• Maintain professionalism, empathy and patience in conversations.
• Navigate multiple systems while assisting customers.
• Escalate complex matters to the appropriate teams.
• Deliver excellent customer outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
