SHUB Group is seeking a hands-on Property Management & Real Estate Operations Assistant in Auckland. You will assist across inspections, tenant relations, contractor coordination, and CRM updates, gaining practical experience in rent roll growth, leasing, and property management systems.
Ideal candidates are reliable, organized, and comfortable working in the field with diverse communities. A current NZ driver license is required and you will travel between properties and sites as needed.
This is a hands-on position in Property Management & Real Estate Operations where no two days are necessarily the same. You could be inspecting a rental property, meeting a tenant, attending a renovation site, checking work completed by a contractor, helping prepare a property for an open home, installing sales signage, assisting with a property viewing or updating property management systems. You will gain practical experience across property management, rent roll growth, leasing and tenant relationships, property inspections, maintenance and contractor coordination, renovation and project coordination, real estate sales support, open-home operations, client and community relationships, and property management and CRM systems.
Key responsibilities
Conduct routine property inspections and prepare inspection reports with photographs
Identify maintenance, presentation and tenancy issues and report them to the Property Manager
Organise and attend rental property viewings
Coordinate access with tenants for inspections, maintenance and contractors
Communicate with tenants regarding routine matters and elevate issues where required
Assist with tenant applications and screening, including checking documentation and references
Assist with tenant onboarding and end-of-tenancy administration
Assist with tenancy paperwork and bond lodgement/refund documentation
Assist with rent ledger and tenant account administration, including rent payments, water charges and outstanding balances
Maintain accurate tenant and property information
