Job description

Property Portfolio Coordinator - Customer Regulatory Specialist

The Built Structures team sits within LINZ's Crown Property group and manages a diverse portfolio of Crown-owned buildings and residential properties. Our work spans property and tenancy management, maintenance and compliance, commercial agreements, and stewardship of assets that support a range of government priorities. Following the recent insourcing of the management of our residential portfolio, we're continuing to strengthen capability, improve systems and processes, and build a modern, high-performing property management function.

As our Property Portfolio Coordinator (Customer Regulatory Specialist), you'll provide support across a wide range of property management and operational activities. You'll help coordinate maintenance and contractor activity, manage property and tenancy information, support commercial agreements, contribute to reporting and process improvement, and help ensure our systems and data remain accurate and reliable. Working across the team, you'll gain exposure to almost every aspect of the property management life cycle and play an important role in keeping things running smoothly.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build broad property management experience in a supportive and varied environment and contribute to the management of a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. You'll join an experienced, Wellington-based team who enjoy working together, share knowledge freely, and where you'll be encouraged to learn, contribute ideas, and develop your skills.

You'll bring a combination of strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities across a varied property portfolio. We're looking for someone who can build positive working relationships, enjoys solving problems, and is comfortable working across systems, processes, and operational delivery.

To be successful in this role you'll have:

  • Experience in property management, property administration, facilities management, contract coordination, asset management, or a similar operational role
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities
  • Experience maintaining accurate records, data, and documentation, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Confidence using information systems and technology to manage work, analyse information, and produce reports
  • The ability to identify process improvements and contribute to more efficient ways of working
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues across a busy team

It would be an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in residential or commercial property management
  • Knowledge of contract administration, tenancy management, maintenance coordination, or asset management practices
  • Experience using property management, asset management, or facilities management systems
  • An understanding of government property portfolios and public sector decision-making processes

The annual full-time salary range for this role is $85,000 to $100,000 depending on skills and experience.

  • Interesting work which impacts Aotearoa as we care for whenua, moana and arawai.
  • Wellbeing allowance reimbursement
  • Ability to purchase additional leave
  • Reduced Health Insurance Premiums
  • Diverse groups and networks
  • If eligible for paid parental leave, you will be entitled to a top up payment for the first 18 weeks of the 26 weeks.
  • A minimum of four weeks and three days annual leave

Our mahi helps New Zealanders have confidence that the development of our land, communities and country is being planned from an informed and expert position that balances environmental, social, cultural, and economic considerations, now and for future generations.

As an organisation we embrace diversity, encourage work life balance and have a flexible approach to the way we work which means you will quickly feel connected and valued.
