Job summary

Veros is seeking a project manager to build their Tauranga reputation, take on responsibility and help grow the Tauranga project management team. This client facing role is grounded on strong client relationships and delivery of complex projects that actually get built.

You will be based in our Tauranga office and lead vertical construction projects for public and private sector clients, from briefing through design coordination, procurement, construction delivery and completion.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years' experience in project management, construction, or development.
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, property, architecture, or related discipline.
  • Good written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead consultant teams through design development and documentation.
  • Procure contractors and administer construction contracts.
  • Monitor programme, cost, risk, and quality outcomes.
  • Coordinate communication between clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Provide clear project reporting and maintain strong client relationships.

We are looking for a project manager wanting to build their reputation, take on responsibility and help grow our Tauranga project management team. This is a client facing role, grounded on strong client relationships and delivery of complex projects that actually get built.

The Role

This role reports to the Project Management Team Leader and will be based in our Tauranga office.

You will lead vertical construction projects for public and private sector clients from briefing through design coordination, procurement, construction delivery, and completion.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead consultant teams through design development and documentation
  • Procure contractors and administer construction contracts
  • Monitor programme, cost, risk, and quality outcomes
  • Coordinate communication between clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Provide clear project reporting and maintain strong client relationships
Key Requirements
  • The legal right to work in New Zealand
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, property, architecture, or related discipline
  • 5 to 10 years' experience in project management, construction, or development
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience delivering projects in New Zealand
  • Experience administering contracts within the NZS 391X suite of contracts
  • Good written and oral communication
