Job summary

Verbrec is expanding its presence in New Zealand, delivering engineering solutions across energy, three waters, wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects. You will lead controversial projects, manage client relationships, drive safety and commercial outcomes, and coordinate across Australia and New Zealand teams.

You will influence renewable energy transitions, decarbonisation efforts, and critical infrastructure through innovative engineering.

With projects and clients growing, we are looking for a customer and delivery focusedProject Managerwho is proactive in delivering on our client’s expectations.In this role, youwill work closely with all internal and external stake holders and work to maintain the dynamic team culture atVerbrec.You will be exposed to clients across New Zealand working on energy, oil and gas, utilities, manufacturing, petrochemical, renewables, water and wastewater treatment infrastructure, and other critical industry projects.

As aProject Manager, you will develop and manage key projects, programs of works and clients with the aim of aligning projects to our business strategies and contributing to the development of our brand. Our Project Managers work closely together ensuring our approach to commercial success and governance is consistent and industry leading across Australia and New Zealand. For this role you will show strengths in:

  • Experience delivering engineering and constructionprojects within energy, industrial infrastructure, water or wastewater treatment environments
  • Developing and managing client relationships (Key Account Management)
  • Driving commercial and safety success at all stages of projects
  • Generating and reviewing tenders and proposals
  • Managing teams and communications internally and externally
  • Developing the project, governance and commercial acumen of our teams
  • Leading or participating in key projects, ensuring learnings are shared

About You

  • Consultancy, construction or commercial project experience with strong delivery and commercial results
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Water or Wastewater Treatment, or similar across New Zealand
  • Understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, regulatory frameworks, asset management, or a demonstrated passion for supporting critical water infrastructure
  • Business development confidence, with a current and relevant network
  • Proven Project Management and governance experience
  • Drive to meet targets and motivate a team
  • Strong technical skills in Engineering
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability of work
