Job summary

New Zealand Post in New Plymouth is seeking an On Call Processing Officer to support overnight and early morning operations. The role involves sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels to ensure timely deliveries.

You must be available for on-call hours (12am–5.30am, Monday–Saturday), lift up to 25kg, have reliable transport and a strong safety mindset. NZ Post offers learning and development, a safe workplace and free parking.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at the New Plymouth depot.
• Support couriers during peak delivery periods and cover shifts as needed.
• Adhere to safety, security and quality procedures at all times.
• Contribute to a smooth, efficient operation during overnight hours.

PROCESSING OFFICER | ON CALL | NEW PLYMOUTH

On Call - work as and when required between 12AM - 5.30AM Monday to Saturday

Location: Smart Road, New Plymouth

$26.75 per hour+ night shift allowance ($3.21 per hour between 8pm and 6am)

On Call employees are an essential part of our business as we call on them to assist us as and when required. You might be called in to cover illness, extended leave or help us our during our peak delivery periods. It's a great way to balance work and lifestyle!
