Job summary

New Zealand Post in Whakatane is hiring Processing Officers to sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight for delivery. You'll be part of a dynamic team ensuring timeliness and accuracy in handling goods.

Shifts are Tuesday to Saturday, 3:30am–8:30am, with up to 25kg lifting and a focus on safety. This permanent role offers development opportunities within a government‑owned agency with a community focus.

Qualifications

• Available to work Tuesday to Saturday 03:30am–08:30am.
• Able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Good eye for detail and geographic knowledge.
• Energetic and reliable team player in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at the Whakatane branch.
• Prepare items for courier delivery.
• Contribute to safe and efficient operations on site.
