Job summary

NZ Post is seeking a Processing Officer (Part Time Split Shift) at the Avenal branch. The role covers early morning and afternoon shifts from Monday to Thursday, plus Saturday mornings, to sort and dispatch parcels for delivery.

Forklift handling may be required, with night rate allowances and forklift allowances described in the pay package. Applicants should have a restricted driver license/OSH certificate or F endorsement, full NZ work rights, and the ability to work in a physically demanding

• Be available to work Mon - Thurs 3.30am - 9.30am and 3pm - 5.30pm; and Saturday 3.30am - 9.30am
• Minimum restricted driver license / OSH certificate or F endorsement
• Full working rights in New Zealand
• Be a committed teammate, keeping yourself, others and the site safe
• Energy for a physically demanding role – can you lift up to 25kgs?
• An eye for detail and good geographical knowledge

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at the Avenal branch for couriers to deliver
• Support efficient daily operations and maintain accuracy in processing

Our Processing Officers create the magic by sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at our Avenal branch, ready for our couriers to deliver. We're a lively bunch, with a diverse set of skills, but we all share one common goal - to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our beautiful Aotearoa.
