Job summary

Watercare Services Limited is seeking a Process Engineer to bridge design experience with hands-on operational expertise at our water treatment facilities. You will support operations, optimise processes, and lead improvements from small to medium scale.

Ideal candidates have a Washington Accord engineering degree and 3+ years in engineering/operations, with strong analytical and project management skills and a valid NZ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree from a Washington Accord accredited program.
• 3+ years' experience in an engineering/operations setting, preferably in water/wastewater.
• Strong drive to develop knowledge of the water industry.
• Experience in data analysis, process design and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support to the operations team.
• Conduct process analysis and develop test methodologies for optimisation.
• Troubleshoot plant issues affecting process performance.
• Manage and deliver improvement projects to enhance plant performance and reliability.
• Review planning briefs and consultant submissions for operational input.
• Support projects/commissioning with on-site upgrades and improvements.
• Participate in an out-of-hours callout roster for emergency coverage.
