Job summary
Worley in Wellington, New Zealand is seeking a Lead/Principal Water Engineer (Process) to drive process design for municipal and industrial wastewater projects. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver planning, feasibility, detailed design and construction support.
Ideal candidates have a degree in engineering, progress toward chartership, and strong experience in biological and hydraulic design, with proficiency in process modelling tools. NZ working rights required.
Qualifications
- Degree in an engineering discipline relevant to water and wastewater.
- Chartered status or progress toward chartership in a relevant field.
- Proven experience delivering wastewater treatment planning and design projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop process designs for municipal and industrial wastewater facilities.
- Undertake planning, feasibility assessments and option evaluations.
- Prepare PFDs, P&IDs and treatment plant layouts.
- Perform hydraulic modelling and process calculations for treatment systems.
- Undertake biological and process modelling to support design and optimisation.
- Use specialist modelling software to evaluate treatment solutions.
- Contribute to proposals, reports and client presentations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
- Support business development and tender submissions.
