Job summary

Watercare in Auckland is seeking an Operations Engineer to support wastewater networks across our central Auckland operations. You will analyse fault and network data, scope capital renewals, and optimise maintenance programs to improve performance and reliability.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, experience across planning, operations and maintenance of wastewater assets, strong communication, and a NZ driver licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in wastewater networks including planning, operations and maintenance.
• Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyse fault and network data to identify opportunities to improve performance and optimise maintenance programmes.
• Scope and support capital renewal works, ensuring wastewater network assets meet current design requirements and standards.
• Respond to and manage wastewater network incidents, working to minimise disruption and maintain environmental compliance.
