Job summary

Maraenui Medical Centre in Napier, Hawke's Bay, is seeking a part-time Practice Nurse to join our friendly General Practice team. This role is one day per week on Fridays, 8.30am–5.30pm, with relieving shifts as required.

You will support patients and their whānau, contribute to a culturally safe environment, and work collaboratively with the team. Previous practice nurse experience is desirable; practising certificate required, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Practice Nurse in primary care is desirable.
• Venepuncture experience preferred but training available.
• Indici PMS experience is an advantage.

Hours of Work.

This part time position for one day a each week on a Friday 8.30am - 5.30pmand relieving as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Creating a culturally safe and inclusive environment for our patients. Support patients and their Whānau as they navigate healthcare. Understanding of Māori culture and the ability to incorporate cultural practices into healthcare. An effective communicator, with excellent time management skills. The ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Previous experience as a Practice Nurse in primary care is desirable. Venepuncture preferred but not essential as training can be undertaken. Experience using Indici PMS an advantage. Current Practicing Certificate. Full training and support will be given.

A sense of humour and willingness to engage socially with our team highly desirable.
