Job summary

New Zealand Post is seeking a Processing Officer in South Dunedin to sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at our Strathallan Street branch, ensuring timely delivery by our couriers.

On-call coverage is required Monday to Friday between 10:30am and 10pm, with a supportive team, safe work environment and opportunities for learning and development within a stable government-owned agency.

Qualifications

• Be available to work on call Monday to Friday between 10.30am and 10pm
• Be a committed teammate, keeping yourself, others and the site safe
• Energy for a physically demanding role - can lift up to 25kgs
• An eye for detail and good geographical knowledge

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at Strathallan Street branch.
• Be available on call to cover staff sickness, leave or peak periods.

About the role

Our Processing Officers create the magic by sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at our Strathallan Street branch, ready for our couriers to deliver.

Our On Call employees are a vital part of our business. You can be called on to cover staff sickness, leave or to assist us with our peak delivery periods.

Its a great way to get work / life balance! We're a lively bunch, with a diverse set of skills, but we all share one common goal - to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our beautiful Aotearoa.
