Job summary

New Zealand Post is seeking a Processing Officer in Dunedin to sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels at the Strathallan Street branch. This on-call role supports sickness, leave, and peak periods, requiring flexibility Monday to Friday between 10:30am and 10pm.

You will be part of a team delivering high-quality parcel services and maintaining safe, efficient operations in a government-owned agency. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Be available to work on call as required Monday to Friday between 10:30am and 10pm
• Be a committed teammate, keeping yourself, others and the site safe
• Energy for a physically demanding role – can lift up to 25kgs
• An eye for detail and good geographical knowledge

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at our Strathallan Street branch, ready for our couriers to deliver.
• Prepare items for courier delivery and ensure accurate sorting.
• Contribute to safe and efficient operations and on-time parcel processing.

Our Processing Officers create the magic by sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at our Strathallan Street branch, ready for our couriers to deliver.

Our On Call employees are a vital part of our business. You can be called on to cover staff sickness, leave or to assist us with our peak delivery periods. Its a great way to get work / life balance!
