Job summary

ASB Bank in Auckland is seeking an engineer to help deliver and support a secure, scalable enterprise environment. You will be part of a squad empowered to prioritise and make decisions, contributing to reliable services for customers.

You will own and optimise identity server infrastructure, OAuth/OIDC security, containerised deployments with Podman/Docker, and robust CI/CD pipelines while using observability tools to monitor performance and reliability in a Linux-based environment.

This Opportunity Will Be Responsible For

• Providing technical expertise and ownership across a complex environment supporting the ASB business.
• Providing technical leadership for all operational aspects of this environment.
• Analysing and optimising the environment for reliability and scalability while delivering cost effective performance.
• Demonstrating an outstanding customer service skills and lead by example.

About You

Skills

• Familiar with identity server infrastructure and financial grade API
• Familiar with OAuth and OIDC authentication and authorisation concepts.
• Podman/Docker container knowledge/experience
• SSL Certificate Management
• An understanding of software engineering principles and processes
• Experience in working with CI/CD tools, preferably Azure Pipelines, Ansible, GitHub or Azure Devops
• Experience working on observability platforms preferably Elastic search
• Familiar with Linux operating system administration

In Addition, The Following Skills Would Be An Advantage

• Scripting or coding using Python and C# .NET Developer using .NET/.NET Core
• Experience in working with database concepts using MSSQL Server or similar SQL server platforms like Postgres and MySQL
• Network configuration using Akamai and BigIP F5 load balancers
• API Integration (SOAP/REST)
• Experience working with automated testing process
• Experience working in Agile environment (Kanban / Scrum)
• Azure cloud exposure and certifications would be a bonus
