Qualifications

• Proactive, adaptable administrator with strong communication and patient focus.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and use digital communication systems.
• Maintain confidential information in line with privacy legislation.
• Collaborate with Team Leader, clinicians and internal/external stakeholders.
• Experience in healthcare administration, reception or centralised booking is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional and welcoming first point of contact for patient enquiries, ensuring timely, accurate and respectful communication.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the Central Booking Unit with high-quality administrative and reception services.
• Manage shared electronic communication channels and digital messaging systems to support efficient information flow.
• Maintain accurate, confidential and secure information in accordance with privacy legislation and procedures.
• Build positive working relationships with patients, whānau, clinicians and external stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with the team to maintain service continuity and respond to changing workloads.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through clear communication and active listening.
