Palmerston North Golf Club is seeking a friendly, reliable team member for a permanent role, minimum 15 hours per week, with duties across golf, retail, events and customer service.
You will welcome members, manage tee bookings, process sales, assist with tournaments, handle bar duties when required, and support the wider club team during busy periods. Training provided.

Welcoming and assisting members and visitors
Managing tee bookings and checking players onto the course
Processing retail sales, green fees and golf cart hire
Answering telephone and general enquiries
Maintaining a tidy and well-presented Pro Shop
Restocking and displaying merchandise
Assisting with tournaments and club events
Completing opening and closing duties
Monitoring activity on the course and assisting with marshalling
Helping maintain the club’s expected standards of course conduct and presentation
Providing occasional bar cover when required
Supporting the wider club team during busy periods
We are looking for someone who:
Has excellent customer-service and communication skills
Is friendly, confident and comfortable dealing with a wide range of people
Is reliable, punctual and able to work independently
Is comfortable using computers, booking systems and EFTPOS
Can remain calm and organised during busy periods
Is willing to take responsibility and address issues appropriately
Is flexible and available for early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as rostered
Is comfortable undertaking occasional bar duties
Previous retail, hospitality or customer-service experience would be useful. An interest in golf is an advantage, but it is not essential—we can teach the right person what they need to know.
As the role may include bar duties, applicants must be legally entitled to serve alcohol in New Zealand. Holding a current Manager’s Certificate would be advantageous but is not essential.
