Job summary

Akarana Golf Club in Auckland is seeking an experienced Bar Duty Manager to lead the bar team during shifts, ensuring outstanding service and smooth operations in a busy club environment.

Reporting to the Bar Manager and Club Management, you will manage opening/closing, stock, EFTPOS and cash procedures, support events, and ensure responsible service of alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Support and supervise the bar team during shifts.
• Deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Maintain stock, cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Manage opening and closing procedures.
• Handle EFTPOS, cash and end-of-shift procedures.
• Assist with functions, tournaments and Club events.
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol and licensing compliance.
• Support and train bar staff.

About the Role

Reporting to the Bar Manager, you will oversee the bar during your shifts, ensuring excellent service, smooth operations and a welcoming experience for our members and guests.

You will work closely with the Bar Manager and Club Management to maintain high standards and support the successful operation of the Club.
