Morrinsville Sports is seeking a Bar Manager to oversee our club's bar operations, events, and daily administration. This flexible, part-time role works closely with the Executive Committee, volunteers, members and service providers to ensure a welcoming and professionally run bar for all users.
You will lead staffing, manage stock, ensure licensing compliance, and contribute to health and safety, facilities, and bookings with some evenings and weekend hours as required.

Morrinsville Sports is seeking a motivated Bar Manager to help keep our club running smoothly. This is a varied, hands-on role that covers the bar operations. The successful applicant will work closely with the Executive Committee, volunteers, members, and service providers to ensure our bar is professionally managed and welcoming to all users.
This is a flexible part-time position with hours varying throughout the year depending on bookings, events, and the sporting calendar. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
Monitor facility supplies and organise maintenance requirements.
Promote and grow utilisation of club facilities.
Organise staffing, suppliers, and operational requirements.
Ensure events run smoothly and provide a positive experience for members and guests.
Coordinate bar operations and staffing.
Assist with stock management and event requirements.
Ensure compliance with host responsibility and licensing obligations.
Provide regular reports to the Committee covering stock levels and provide operational updates.
Support the club's health and safety obligations.
Ensure safe practices are followed during events and daily operations.
Report hazards, incidents, and compliance issues promptly.
You Will Be:
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A confident communicator with excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
Experienced in bar, hospitality, or venue operations.
Proficient with Microsoft 365, POS systems, and day-to-day business administration.
Self-motivated and able to build positive relationships with staff, members, suppliers, and stakeholders. Available to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Current Duty Manager Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
Full New Zealand Driver Licence, with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
