Rydges Formosa Golf Resort is seeking a reliable Overnight Duty Manager to join our Front Office team, primarily covering weekend overnight shifts. You will oversee resort operations during the night and ensure Night Audit procedures are completed accurately.

The role suits someone confident working independently, with strong communication and customer service skills. Experience in Front Office or Night Audit is preferred, and NZ residency or a valid work visa is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and friendly service to guests during the overnight shift.
• Take responsibility for resort operations during overnight hours.
• Complete Night Audit duties: balance transactions, reconcile reports, check room rates, prepare daily summaries.
• Assist with late check-ins, early departures and overnight guest inquiries.
• Operate the front office system; Opera experience is an advantage.
• Monitor security and guest safety with regular overnight checks.
• Keep the front desk, lobby and public areas clean and well presented.
• Complete overnight procedures and operational checklists.
• Prepare Front Office for the following day’s operations.
• Communicate with the morning team about guest requests and outstanding matters.
• Assist other departments as required.
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing requirements.

Rydges Formosa Golf Resort – Overnight Duty Manager

Rydges Formosa Golf Resort is looking for a reliable, self-motivated and experienced Overnight Duty Manager to join our Front Office team, primarily covering weekend overnight shifts.

This role is suited to someone who is confident working independently and taking responsibility for the resort during overnight hours. You will play an important role in ensuring guests are well looked after, resort operations run smoothly, and all Night Audit procedures are completed accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional and friendly service to guests throughout the overnight shift
• Take responsibility for resort operations during overnight hours
• Complete Night Audit duties, including balancing transactions, reconciling reports, checking room rates and preparing daily financial summaries
• Assist with late check-ins, early departures and overnight guest enquiries
• Operate the resort’s property management system, with Opera experience an advantage
• Monitor resort security and guest safety, including regular overnight property checks
• Ensure the front desk, lobby and public areas remain clean and well presented
• Complete all overnight procedures and operational checklists
• Prepare the Front Office for the following day’s operations
• Communicate clearly with the morning team regarding guest requests, incidents or outstanding matters
• Assist other resort departments where required
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing requirements

About You

• Previous Front Office, Night Audit or Duty Manager experience preferred
• Confident working independently and managing overnight operations
• Strong communication, problem-solving and customer service skills
• Good attention to detail and confidence with financial reconciliations
• Reliable, organised and able to remain calm under pressure
• Available to work overnight weekend shifts
• Current LCQ and/or Manager’s Certificate preferred, or willingness to obtain
