Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island in Hamilton is seeking a proactive Part-Time Compliance Manager to lead Health & Safety, Food Safety, and regulatory compliance across the store. You will work closely with Store Management to create a practical, compliant culture and will be involved in audits, incident investigations, coaching staff, and driving continuous improvement.

The role requires detail-orientation, independent work, and strong communication, with responsibilities spanning certification

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Compliance, Health & Safety, Food Safety, or Quality Assurance role.
• Experience managing a Food Control Plan or HACCP-based programme.
• Experience conducting audits and incident investigations.
• Proficient computer skills including reporting and data management.
• First Aid Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain Health & Safety management systems across the store.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard reviews, store audits, and safety inspections.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and ensure corrective actions.
• Coordinate HACCP and food safety training programmes.
• Liaise with external regulatory agencies and manage certification programmes.
• Monitor compliance performance and drive continuous improvement.
