Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced EHS Officer to join our Auckland team on a part-time basis (3 days per week). You will drive safety, environmental and quality compliance across NZ operations, with exposure to audits, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting to the EHS Business Partner - Pacific, you will develop and maintain integrated management systems, deliver training, coordinate risk assessments, and provide expert guidance on health, safety,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in heavy manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent.
• Lead Auditor qualifications in ISO 9001, 45001, 14001.
• Knowledge of NZ health and safety legislation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain EHSQ management systems.
• Conduct site audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews.
• Support EHSQ reporting and performance metrics across NZ operations.
• Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Provide expert advice on health, safety, environmental matters.
• Coordinate Health & Safety Committee activities and training.
