Job summary

Metro Performance Glass, via Metro Direct, seeks a commercially driven Business Development Manager to own the Taranaki region and accelerate growth. This hands-on role targets opportunities, builds strong relationships with builders and contractors, and drives new business from inquiry through delivery.

You’ll be pragmatic, commercially minded and able to quote jobs, cost them, and work independently while supporting a small local team.

Qualifications

• B2B sales and business development experience.
• Strong connections within the building and construction industry.
• Experience selling building products or servicing construction businesses.
• Hunter mentality with a track record of winning new business.
• Commercial nous to assess jobs, costs and quotes.
• Practical, pragmatic approach with problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities in the Taranaki region and grow new business.
• Build and maintain relationships with builders, contractors and decision-makers.
• Prepare quotes, cost estimates and proposals for customer needs.
• Manage customers from enquiry to delivery and after-sales support.
• Collaborate with a small local team to cover the territory.
