Job summary

Crowne Plaza Christchurch, located in downtown Christchurch, is seeking an Assistant Night Manager to oversee nightly Front Office operations. You will audit the day’s transactions, ensure a smooth roll-over, and help create a welcoming atmosphere for guests in a bustling city center.

You will support the Night Manager, handle guest inquiries, and train the team on emergency procedures while maintaining high service standards and a safe environment during overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• NZ General Managers Certificate.
• Experience with Opera or similar PMS is beneficial.
• Strong safety awareness and the ability to understand and follow health guidelines to keep yourself and others safe.
• Skilled in delivering an outstanding guest experience at all times.
• Ability to work overnight shifts from 11:00pm to 7:30am including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Night Manager and the front office night team in night audit, reports and other duties.
• Attend to guest complaints, inquiries and requests. Refer problems to supervisor/manager as required. Work to ensure guests depart the hotel with a positive impression of hotel service.
• Respond to situations to ensure guests receive prompt attention and personal recognition.
• Train team members on emergency procedures and serve as a central communications point during emergency/crisis situations
