Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor for our Wiri AKL site to lead a dedicated warehouse team and ensure efficient storage and handling of goods for customers.

You will guidance across the site, monitor inventory, redeploy resources as needed, and drive safety, service, and KPI targets while supporting talent development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or capability to coach, develop and engage an operational team.
• Good written and verbal communication, customer service/management, and influencing/negotiation skills.
• Sound troubleshooting/problem solving capability, commercial acumen and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as support to the Operations Manager, providing leadership and operational guidance across the site.
• Monitor and manage inventory accuracy through stock control, reconciliation, and inventory management.
• Analyse workload demands and redeploy resources as required to maintain site effectiveness.
• Manage the daily volume of all inbound and outbound orders to ensure they are completed within expected timeframes in a safe and secure manner.
• Oversee the safe, efficient and compliant day-to-day operations of the site.
• Lead and/or contribute to talent acquisition and development activities including recruiting, labour hire engagement, performance management, coaching, etc.
• Support the site to meet or exceed targets for: safety and environment, warehouse KPIs and related activities, service delivery, and profit and loss.
• Develop and foster a healthy culture around safety, operational and service excellence, teamwork and continuous improvement.

YOUR ROLE

As an Operations Supervisor for our site based in Wiri AKL, you’ll lead the day-to-day activities of a dedicated team of warehouse team leaders, operators, administrators and contractors who provide an essential service in the storage and handling of goods for our customers.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

• Act as support to the Operations Manager, providing leadership and operational guidance across the site
• Monitor and manage inventory accuracy through stock control, reconciliation, and inventory management

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate has experience in supervising / managing 3PL warehouse operations in any industry OR is ready to step-up to this level.

You should also have:

• Experience and/or capability to coach, develop and engage an operational team
• Good written and verbal communication, customer service / management, and influencing / negotiation skills
• Sound troubleshooting / problem solving capability, commercial acumen and numeracy skills
• Basic-intermediate experience in MS Office applications, and capable of learning new systems, software and technologies
• An existing Forklift Licences is highly regarded but not required.

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
