Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily, weekly and forward scheduling of labour, plant and equipment.
  • Maintain operational programmes and work schedules.
  • Allocate resources to maximise productivity and utilisation.
  • Monitor upcoming workloads and identify resource requirements.
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts or resource constraints before they become problems.
  • Coordinate plant, equipment and vehicle availability.
  • Communicate schedule changes and operational requirements across the business.
  • Support the Operations and Contracts Managers with operational planning.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling, plant and operational records.
  • Assist with forecasting, productivity tracking and operational reporting.
  • Work with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to coordinate operational requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and operational efficiency.
  • Support the business with health, safety, quality and compliance requirements.

Job description

Our client is a family business and market leader in the concrete industry. No job is to big or small for our client.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll work across field teams, management, clients, suppliers and subcontractors to keep resources and schedules aligned. This role requires someone who can plan ahead and manage a busy operational schedule.

You’ll play a key role in coordinating multiple projects, aligning priorities and making the best use of available resources to keep work running smoothly.

What you will be doing

Systems experience

Experience with scheduling, project or resource management systems would be advantageous.

Simpro experience would be a strong advantage, as this is the system used for daily scheduling. Experience with EROAD would also be beneficial.
