At ECL Group, we enable the connections that keep New Zealand moving.

As New Zealand's oldest, most trusted infrastructure services business, we've been supporting critical infrastructure since 1957. With more than 250 employees across 19 locations nationwide, we install, maintain, protect and repair the systems that keep New Zealand connected. From fuel infrastructure and payment technologies to EV charging solutions and essential business systems, our teams work behind the scenes to support some of New Zealand's most recognised brands, including Z Energy, BP, Exxon Mobil, Foodstuffs, Woolworths, G.A.S. and NZ Post.

What's so exciting about this role?

We're looking for an experienced Scheduling Manager to lead and transform our national scheduling function.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for coordinating scheduling activities across ECL's Energy, Technology and eMobility business lines. You'll lead a team of schedulers, work closely with Operational Managers and Service Managers, and play a key role in ensuring our field technicians are deployed efficiently to deliver exceptional service to customers nationwide.

You'll have the opportunity to drive operational improvements, optimise resource utilisation, implement smarter scheduling processes, and help shape how ECL delivers services across New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

As Scheduling Manager, you will:

  • Lead, develop and support a high-performing Scheduling Team.
  • Drive the transition from manual scheduling processes to enhanced utilisation of scheduling tools and systems.
  • Oversee the allocation and scheduling of field technicians to maximise productivity and meet customer service commitments.
  • Monitor workloads, resource capacity and service delivery performance across multiple business units.
  • Work closely with Operations, Service Managers and Project Teams to ensure effective coordination of resources.
  • Manage escalations and ensure customer issues are resolved promptly.
  • Analyse scheduling, utilisation and performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, technicians and internal stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability and customer focus.
About You

We're looking for a people-focused operational leader who is highly organised, commercially aware and passionate about delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • At least 5 years' experience in operational leadership, scheduling, workforce planning or customer support management.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams in fast-paced, service-focused environments.
  • Strong resource planning and scheduling experience.
  • The ability to balance customer needs, technician capacity and operational priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting capability.
  • High levels of organisation, attention to detail and decision-making ability.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience working with scheduling or workforce management systems.
  • Experience within infrastructure, field services, utilities, or technical service environments will be highly regarded.
Why Join ECL?

At ECL, we genuinely invest in our people and provide opportunities to grow your career within a national business that continues to evolve.

In return, we offer:
  • A senior leadership role with direct impact on business performance.
  • The opportunity to lead a national scheduling function.
  • A supportive and collaborative management team.
  • Ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities.
  • Exposure to diverse and critical infrastructure industries.
  • A stable and growing business with a strong reputation across New Zealand.
  • The chance to make a meaningful difference to how services are delivered nationwide.
