Job summary

Get It Up Scaffolding in Auckland is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to own day-to-day operations, lead scaffolders and supervisors, and drive safety, performance and growth. Reporting to the General Manager, you will optimise scheduling, client relationships and project delivery across multiple sites.

This hands-on role requires strong leadership, tactical planning and excellent communication to maintain high standards and propel business expansion in the scaffolding sector.

Qualifications

• Strong scaffolding industry experience with operational leadership exposure.
• Experience quoting and pricing scaffolding projects.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence (NZDL).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of scaffolders, subcontractors, supervisors and staff.
• Oversee daily scheduling, workforce planning and project delivery.
• Coordinate crews, equipment and materials for efficiency.

Get It Up Scaffolding is a well-established Auckland business delivering quality scaffolding solutions across the region. As the business continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operation and play a key role in shaping the company's future.

This is more than a traditional operations role. We're looking for a hands-on leader who can drive performance, develop people, and create structure across the business, while positioning themselves for progression into the near future.

About the Role:

Based in Otahuhu and reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll be responsible for the daily operational success of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing a team of scaffolders, subcontractors, supervisors and administration support staff
• Overseeing daily scheduling, workforce planning and project delivery
• Ensuring crews, equipment and materials are coordinated to maximise efficiency
• Building a high-performing culture focused on safety, accountability and teamwork
• Managing operational performance across multiple projects and sites
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with both existing and prospective customers
• Preparing quotations and pricing work while supporting business growth opportunities
• Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the business
• Supporting the General Manager by taking ownership of day-to-day operations

• Advanced Certificate of Competence (COC) preferred
• Strong scaffolding industry experience, ideally with exposure to operational leadership

• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple moving parts
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Strong organisational and planning ability
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence
