Our amazing Office Manager is retiring after many years at our kura. We are seeking an organised, welcoming, and proactive School Administrator to keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly. In this key role, if you can be the warm welcoming face of our front office, thrive in a fast-paced environment and love contributing to a solutions-oriented workplace, we want to hear from you. This position is Monday - Friday, 8am - 3.30pm, 35 hours per week. Term time only to support 520 students and staff.
Manage inbound daily communications, enrolment queries, schedule appointments for the Principal, maintain the school calendar, order school supplies, co-ordinate lost property and second hand uniforms
Serve as the Board secretary and Returning Officer
Act as the primary point of contact between staff, parents, whanau, leadership and external parties with clear empathetic communication
Process new student enrolments, administer out-of-zone ballots, and monitor daily student attendance using the HERO system
Provide medical assistance for students and staff
Support emergency and safety procedures
Primary liaison for all visitors, assisting with event planning, inventory management and operational logistics
Experience with student management software, such as HERO
Advanced skills with the Google suite
Exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritise and stay cool under pressure
Previous experience in a school administrative role with understanding of the Ministry of Education's expectations and interactions with schools, will be advantageous to applicants
This will be dependent on the skills of the successful applicant. Remuneration will be determined using the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement.
