We are looking for an enthusiastic Office Junior to join our Administration and Finance team in Hamilton. This varied, entry-level role provides administrative support across the business and helps keep our offices running smoothly.
You will assist with general administration, reception, customer service, office supplies and basic finance tasks. You will also coordinate consumables across our branches and help maintain a professional, welcoming workplace.
Your responsibilities will include:Providing general administrative support to departments across the business
Answering and directing incoming telephone calls professionally
Welcoming visitors and assisting with general enquiries
Scanning, filing and archiving electronic and hard-copy documents
Completing data entry and maintaining accurate company records
Photocopying, printing and binding documents
Processing customer payments and supplier invoices
Paying and invoicing tolls and fines
Keeping storerooms, reception areas, kitchens and staff facilities tidy and well stocked
Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and minimise excess stock
Assisting with staff functions, morning teas and company events
Supporting special projects and other team members when required
Following company health and safety policies and reporting hazards promptly
You will be dependable, well presented and willing to learn. You will enjoy helping others, take pride in keeping things organised and be confident using your initiative.
Ideally, you will have:
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and customer-service skills
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
A positive, professional and helpful attitude
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
The ability to work collaboratively with staff, customers and suppliers
Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to confidentiality
A practical, adaptable approach to changing priorities
Previous administration or customer-service experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential. An NCEA Level 2 qualification or equivalent is preferred, while a qualification in business administration would be beneficial.
Clean full NZ Driver license and clean Criminal History
