We are a family‑owned flood restoration and home services business. JAE were proudly recognised with Gold at the 2025 Reader’s Digest Quality Service Awards. Our small office team located at Rosebank Rd, Avondale is at the heart of our operations, supporting technicians across carpet, upholstery cleaning, pest control and Flood Restoration services.
Due to the size of our office, this is a multi‑faced role. You will need to be comfortable learning most office functions and stepping in to support colleagues when others are away. Reliability is essential — every team member is key to the success of our operation.
About the RoleThis position involves a mix of administration, customer service, and operational support that may need to be covered, including:
Managing inbound and outbound phone and email communications with customers and scheduling appointments
Managing a busy shared inbox, where you’ll deal with online booking requests, insurer queries, and customer updates.
Accurately quoting and booking our services
Maintaining and updating job records
Liaising with insurance companies and customers regarding jobs
Processing restoration jobs - and ensuring all necessary follow‑ups and documentation are handled with care and accuracy
Interpreting technician notes and translating them into clear, accurate insurance updates
Supporting the wider team to ensure deadlines and timeframes are met
About YouYou are someone who thrives in a busy, structured environment and enjoys supporting others. You will bring:
5+ Years Experience in office administration and customer service - insurance, trades, or service‑based industries an advantage
Proven reliability and punctuality. Essential in a small team
Advanced MS office and Tech‑savvy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Calm, empathetic, and customer‑focused
A proactive problem solver with strong initiative
Highly organised with great attention to detail
Resilient, flexible, and comfortable supporting others to meet deadline
