Responsibilities

  • General office administration and keeping company records organised and up to date.
  • Answering phone calls and responding to general enquiries.
  • Managing emails and directing enquiries to the appropriate team member.
  • Assisting with customer and supplier communication.
  • Creating and maintaining job files and project documentation.
  • Assisting with quotes, purchase orders, invoices and other job-related paperwork.
  • Data entry and maintaining accurate information within our business systems.
  • Following up on outstanding information from clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable administration.
  • Processing and checking supplier invoices and statements.
  • Assisting with timesheets, payroll information and staff records.
  • Maintaining Health & Safety and staff documentation.
  • Ordering office and workshop supplies as required.
  • Assisting management with reports, documents and general administration.
  • Helping coordinate meetings, appointments and project-related requirements.
  • Supporting the wider team with general administrative tasks as required.

What you'll be doing

About you

We’re looking for someone dependable, organised, and who enjoys being part of a collaborative team. You’ll be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your responsibilities and jumping between different tasks when required - flexibility is a must around here!

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous administration or office experience
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • A professional and friendly manner with clients and suppliers
  • Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Experience with accounting or job‑management software - Not crucial but would be an advantage
  • The ability to prioritise your workload in a busy environment
  • A practical, can‑do attitude
  • The confidence to follow things up and make sure tasks get completed
  • The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

Experience within construction, joinery, trades or a project‑based business would be helpful, but isn’t essential for the right person.
