Job summary

Green by Nature seeks an enthusiastic Service Manager to lead our nationwide service and maintenance operations from the Porana, Hillcrest depot in New Zealand. You will oversee day-to-day service performance, people leadership, and R&M administration across 25 depots and 3,000 assets, ensuring safe, reliable, cost-effective outcomes.

You will manage workshop capacity, coach managers and mechanics, and own maintenance schedules while upholding Health and Safety standards and high service

Qualifications

• Experience leading service performance and maintenance administration.
• Experience across multiple sites is preferred.
• Safety-focused and reliable in delivering commitments.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily workshop capacity, workflow, work allocation and housekeeping through the Workshop Foreman.
• Lead, coach and develop the Service Administrator, Service Engineer, Workshop Foreman and Mechanics.
• Own execution of planned and preventive maintenance schedules within fleet standards set by the National Fleet Manager.
• Take operational ownership of R&M contract administration, from quotation through work completion and invoicing.
• Approve R&M quotations within delegated financial limits and escalate exceptions promptly.
• Monitor workshop utilisation, technician productivity, WIP, maintenance compliance and asset availability.
• Ensure workshops and field-service activities comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, company requirements and relevant technical standards.
