Job summary

Alliance Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Trades Supervisor to lead a skilled team across maintenance operations at a major processing facility in New Zealand. You will coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance, drive plant reliability, and champion safety while aligning with production for continuous improvement and reduced downtime.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will manage priorities, mentor tradespeople and contractors, and foster strong cross-functional

Qualifications

• Recognised trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, Refrigeration, Fitting & Turning, or similar).
• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, processing, engineering, industrial, or heavy industry environments.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem‑solving capability.
• Experience coordinating contractors and maintenance activities within a complex operational environment.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Collaborative leadership style with ability to motivate and support others.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced operational environment.
• Hold current and unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• Be able to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol, and background screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supervising maintenance tradespeople and contractors.
• Coordinating preventative and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Supporting safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation.
• Managing maintenance priorities and resources across the site.
