Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer for our Albany Rosedale facility in Auckland. You will maintain production equipment, resolve breakdowns, and perform preventive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum and production targets on track.

You will apply root cause analysis, document activities in CMMS, support site services, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring ISO 9001 compliance. A Level 4 Mechanical Engineering cert and 5+ years in a similar role are required.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 4 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar maintenance engineering role.
• Strong mechanical skills: fitting, turning, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and use of power/hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support across production machinery to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Deliver preventive maintenance under TPM program and drive improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrences and document actions in CMMS.
• Maintain and improve site services and equipment reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing practices on site.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and ISO 9001 requirements and support shift handovers.
