Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer for our Albany Rosedale facility in Auckland. You will maintain production equipment, resolve breakdowns and drive continuous improvement to improve uptime and reliability.

You will work with Production, Operations and Engineering teams, performing preventative maintenance and root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues while ensuring safety and quality compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Level 4 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar maintenance engineering role.
• Strong mechanical engineering skills including fitting and turning, welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, and use of power and hand tools.
• Experience using CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• LEAN manufacturing experience; CAD software knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support across production machinery to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Deliver preventative maintenance activities as part of TPM program.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and prevent recurring equipment issues.
• Document maintenance activities using CMMS.
• Support maintenance and reliability of site services.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance operational and environmental performance.
• Maintain compliance with quality, safety and ISO 9001 requirements.
