Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH in Auckland is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to keep our Albany/Rosedale production line running safely and efficiently.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and record activities in the CMMS while driving continuous improvement with Lean practices. A Level 4 Mechanical Engineering certificate and 5+ years in maintenance are required; SolidWorks CAD experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Level 4 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in a similar maintenance engineering role.
• Strong mechanical skills: fitting/turning, welding, pneumatics, hydraulics.
• Experience with CMMS and office software (MS Office).
• LEAN manufacturing experience a plus; CAD experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support across production machinery to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Deliver preventative maintenance activities as part of TPM program.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and prevent recurring equipment issues.
• Document maintenance activities using the CMMS.
• Support site services maintenance and reliability; drive continuous improvement.
