Placements24 is seeking a Procurement Specialist for an on-site role in Queenstown to manage MRO sourcing and procurement. You will build strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure uninterrupted maintenance and operation by optimizing stock levels and controlling costs.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in procurement, expertise in MRO or indirect materials, and hands-on experience with SAP or Oracle ERP systems to drive efficiency and compliance across the plant.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of procurement experience with focus on MRO or indirect materials.
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage contracts.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and supply chain practices.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure all MRO items with timely delivery and competitive pricing.
• Build and manage relationships with MRO suppliers; negotiate contracts and SLAs.
• Review supplier performance and ensure quality and reliability.
• Maintain accurate inventory data and optimize stock levels for MRO items.
• Process purchase requisitions and orders in compliance with policies.
• Identify cost savings and process improvements in MRO procurement.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and operations to understand needs.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with safety and environmental regs.
• Manage MRO procurement budget and track expenditures.
• Keep up-to-date with new MRO products and sourcing strategies.
