Placements24 is seeking a Procurement Specialist for an FMCG manufacturing operation based in Queenstown. You will manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials and packaging to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

Bring 3–5 years of procurement experience, a degree in SCM or related field, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and proficiency with procurement software and Excel. You will negotiate terms and maintain supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, business admin, commerce or related field.
• 3–5 years procurement/sourcing experience in FMCG.
• Strong negotiation and supplier-management abilities.
• Solid understanding of inventory management and cost control.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end procurement of raw materials and packaging.
• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers with due diligence.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts to meet budget.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships for stable supply.
• Monitor market trends and commodity prices to manage risks.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and ethics.
• Collaborate with production, QA and R&D to meet specs.
• Process purchase orders and track deliveries; resolve discrepancies.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
